The South American BirdFair is the most important in the continent. It takes place each year in a different country.

The BirdFair is a place where birders from South America and visitors from all over the world can meet and share their experiences, they can exchange the latest developments in ornithology, learn more about birds and conservation and of course go birding. One of the highlights of the Fair will be birding trips to nature reserves and national parks.

The 10th South American BirdFair is being held for the first time in Peru where there will be specialist workshops, entertaining lectures from experts in their fields as well as discussions on a wide range of topics including birding destinations, new scientific discoveries and conservation. There will be something for everyone!

There will be stands full of interest for birders. You can browse the latest bird guides, try out new optical equipment, buy a painting of your favourite bird, book your next birding trip, talk to South American birding organisations and much more.

Whether you are a novice or an expert birder there will be activities for you! If you want to enjoy great birding and meet other like-minded people then the place to be is Cusco, Perú. See you there!

Due to the pandemic that is harassing the entire planet, the work team of the 10 th South American Bird Fair – Cusco 2020 has not stopped their activity and have exhaustively followed up the crisis effects in order to determine the acts regarding the event scheduled for October
2020 in Cusco.

We are very aware of the seriousness and socio-economic impacts of COVID-19. For these reasons, we have made the decision to reschedule the X South American Bird Fair for 2021 (dates to be confirmed). The event will take place in Cusco, Perú.
